Asobi1.5.1 - App Store

Watching media over a browser has a lot of limited options on iOS. The default browser, safari has a ton of clutter which makes a non-immersive experience for consuming media. Asobi solves this problem.

At its core, Asobi allows you to view media without any clutter on a mobile device because space is important when viewing a website.

There is no URL bar in Asobi. Instead, a default URL can be set to open on every app launch. This allows the user to jump right into the action instead of having a homepage on the screen.

Asobi also has other hallmarks of a standard web browser such as:
- History
- Bookmarks
- Downloads

There are also privacy related features such as:
- Incognito mode
- Ad blocking
- Authentication on startup
- Hiding content in the recents menu

Asobi has a navigation bar to quickly access all the options above. This bar can be tucked away automatically or with a triple tap of the screen.

Version History Hey everyone!

Asobi v1.5.1 is out as a maintenance release with some new features and bugfixes:

- Add the ability to turn off zooming for webpages
- Fix problem of edited bookmarks not saving new info
- Fix issue with status bar style options displaying the wrong picker choices

This is the last release supporting iOS 14. Versions 1.6 and up will require iOS 15 or higher to run. 1.5.1 09/16/2023 Hey everyone!

Asobi v1.5.0 is out with many new features and bugfixes:

- The URL bar option has been relocated to browser mode which adds a URL bar button and allows for the bar to be presented.
- UI has been overhauled to fix issues with iOS 14 and clean up the overall style of Asobi.
- URL schemes other than default protocols are on an opt-in basis where schemes can be added in Asobi's settings.
- JS alerts are no longer presented as system alerts, but they now have their own alert view that doesn't interrupt the app.
- Auto-hide has been updated to prevent hiding at certain points and increase stability.

This is the last release supporting iOS 14. Versions 1.6 and up will require iOS 15 or higher to run. 1.5.0 01/22/2023 Hey everyone!

Asobi v1.4.1 is out with some new features and bugfixes:
- A URL bar has been added. This can be toggled on in settings
- Authentication blurring has been fixed
- Fix popup handling for certain popups
- Make find in page and URL bars work better with keyboards

Asobi v1.4.0 is out with a huge amount of features and bug fixes:
- iCloud syncing between devices
- Popup blocking (along with always allowed websites)
- Https only mode
- Smart bookmarks (allow each bookmark/homescreen shortcut to load the most recent URL for that site)
- Ability to hide/show insets and the home indicator
- Percentage on the loading bar
- JavaScript alert, prompt, and confirm methods now show up
- Various bugs regarding history have been squashed. There is now a repair history button which will fix possible leftovers from previous versions of Asobi.

Asobi v1.3.0 is out with a bunch of features and bug fixes:
- A "Guides" button has been added to the bottom of settings. If you're confused on how to use Asobi, go here!
- The statusbar can be customized to whatever option the user wants, adapt to the app theme, or automatically adjust to the webpage background
- Videos can now be forced to fullscreen (native player) when played. This works best with media browsers such as Jellyfin
- The default URL can now be the last URL in history so you can pick up where you left off
- Autohiding the navigation bar has been properly fixed and the bar no longer flickers
- Accent color now applies to toggles in-app

Asobi v1.2.3 is out with a bunch of features and bug fixes:
- A big "Report issues" button has been added at the bottom of settings
- Enabling authentication in settings now requires the user to authenticate in settings
- Download alerts are now fixed: v1.2.2 broke any download alerts from being shown up thanks to a snag in the code rewrite
- Clicking the settings done button in iOS 14 no longer crashes the app

Asobi v1.2.2 is out with new privacy features such as:
- Optional authentication on app launch: Use Face/TouchID to authenticate while launching Asobi.
- Blur Asobi's contents in the recents menu: If you don't want prying eyes looking at your content, the recents screen will automatically be blurred upon exiting the app.

Bug fixes:
- Fix AirPlay stopping when switching to another app or locking the screen for too long
- Fix navigation bar being unresponsive if auto hide and lock navigation bar are both on

NOTE: If you had both the auto hide and lock navigation bar settings on, your settings will be reverted when starting Asobi! An alert will show up in the app for only this version!

- Downloading rework: You can now choose a download directory to save downloaded files in
- Favicon saving: You can now save a website's favicon to create Siri shortcuts for Asobi
- The about menu now lets you know if you're on a debug or release build (App store builds are release builds)

Bug fixes:
- Ignore error -999 because it's not a problematic error and pops up way too often
- Fix blob downloads not working on iOS 14

- Find in page: There is now a new searchbar for finding words/phrases in a website
- Library actions: Performs actions on the current webpage or browser
- Clear cookies: Removes cookies and site data from browser history

- More app icons: Enjoy the sunset, ocean, and pink app icon options

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where app URLs were being treated as normal website URLs

- In-App light, dark, or system theme selection
- Custom app icon options
- A new launch screen
- The ability to disable swipe navigation gestures
- URL deeplinks to open URLs from other browsers in Asobi

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where the app crashes on individual deletion of history
- Fixed a bug where multiple orientation changes on page zoom caused the website to be slightly zoomed in
- Fixed a bug where large bookmarks and history lists had the possibility to overwhelm system resources for a short period of time
- Fixed a crash in iOS 14 when users tried to open the library/bookmarks view
